"THE POWER IN YOU" LEADERSHIP EVENT

As a former educator in schools, my perspective on the awesome achievements of the young people pictured below has evolved over time. While they were high school student-athletes I found myself so focused on what was next that I missed the significance of many great moments, both for them and, for the stage of life my family was in.

With young children to care for, I struggled to be present in various aspects of my life, as a husband, father, teacher, coach, and at a young age, an administrator. Although I loved and poured into those in my care, I failed to prioritize self-care, leading to inconsistencies that affected my family, those close to me and of course my performance in all aspects of life. In fact, I became so out of balance that I lost sight of who I was and found myself trying to be someone I thought everyone else wanted me to be. While my journey has been challenging, I have no doubt that yours has too and that's why we need each other. That's why we need to use our stories as fuel to prepare, plan, and execute for the amazing future in front of us.

I firmly believe that true, authentic leaders, with strong character, live in the expectations of those they lead. I invite you to join me for this event, where we will work together to discover the power within ourselves and continue to grow as leaders of self. By doing this, we will find fulfillment in the joy of leading and serving others while effecting change. We will build relationships that last a lifetime, one step at at time.
